What is TRE?

TRE is a simple self-healing technique that deliberately activates our body’s instinctive neurogenic tremor mechanism in a safe and controlled way. Once activated, these tremors help to release the build up of stress and tension that accumulates in our body from
stressful or traumatic life experiences.

These “neurogenic” tremors (shaking) occur naturally in life when our nervous system is over activated. These tremors are the  body’s natural way of bringing the nervous system back into a calm and balanced state after stressful or traumatic events.

However, due to social pressures, we humans tend to suppress this response to tension (because we don’t want others to perceive us as weak), although it is part of our body’s natural self-healing capacity and thus available to everyone. TRE has been used successfully in over 30 countries for recovery from chronic stress and/or post trauma symptoms.
